FOR PARENTS:
THE VBAC BIRTH PREP COURSE

The VBAC course you have been waiting for.

Coming summer 2026.

Birth preparation increases the likelihood of a successful VBAC by 64%

The research is clear, how you prepare can make a big difference.

You already know you want a VBAC

You might not have said it out loud yet. You might not have even fully admitted it to yourself.

But it is there, underneath all the second guessing, and it is not going away. You might have been told, directly or indirectly, that VBAC is risky, unlikely to work, or something you are “allowed” only under very specific conditions.

So you are doing what every VBAC parent I have ever met has done at some point.

Frantically Googling at 2am. Scouring the socials. Trying to piece it together on your own while everyone around you acts like the decision has already been made.

You’re not wrong, you’ve just been missing information.

Nobody is coming to save you

No one is going to give you permission for this.

The system is not set up to champion your VBAC. Your consultant probably does not have time to walk you through everything you need to understand. The people around you, however well meaning, likely do not get it.

So you have to take this into your own hands.

That is not a scary thing. That is an incredibly powerful thing.

It takes some serious unpicking to move past the risk labels and find your power again. To realise that you are the most important person in the room, and that your autonomy is not a nice to have, it is your right.

Working that out while navigating a system that is often stretched thin and risk averse is incredibly hard to do alone.

That is exactly why I am building this course.

What the research shows

Attending a birth preparation course increases your chance of a successful VBAC by 64%.

Continuity of care, place of birth, and the people you have around you all make a meaningful difference to how your birth unfolds.

Nothing about birth can be guaranteed, but preparation is one of the most powerful things you can bring to this experience, and the evidence backs that up.

Introducing: The VBAC Birth Prep Course

The UK’s first on-demand course built specifically for people preparing for a VBAC.

Most birth prep courses are designed for first time parents. If they include VBAC at all, it is usually a module tacked on at the end.

You deserve more than an ‘add on’.

This course takes you through the full picture of birth preparation, with the assumption that you are preparing for a VBAC.

That means:

  • How the UK maternity system works
  • The evidence that matters
  • Your birth rights, and how to use them
  • The conversations you will need to have with consultants, midwives, and the people around you
  • The ways you can support your body and your mind
  • The uncomfortable topics most courses skip over or soften beyond recognition, including repeat caesareans, NICU, and birth trauma

Your preparation has to include all of it, because your birth might include all of it.

The VBAC BIRTH PREP COURSE

Inside the Course You’ll Receive

The Full VBAC Picture An honest, evidence-based walk through everything VBAC preparation in the UK actually involves.

NHS Navigation Tools Practical strategies for working within NHS guidelines and policies, so you can walk into every appointment informed and prepared.

Evidence You Can Actually Use The research that matters, translated into something you can hold onto and use in conversations with your care team.

Birth Rights Knowing your options, your rights, and how to advocate for yourself without apologising for taking up space.

Body and Mind Preparation Ways to support your body and process your previous birth, so you walk into this one from a place of clarity rather than fear.

The Uncomfortable Topics Repeat caesareans, NICU, birth trauma. The bits most courses skip over or soften beyond recognition, covered with honesty and care.

PLUS…

On-Demand Access Work through the course at your own pace, in whatever pockets of life you can find between everything else you are carrying.

The VBAC Hub Community Somewhere to take the 2am questions. A community of women and birthing people walking the same path as you.

Everything inside the course is designed to help you walk into your birth informed, grounded, and fully in your own authority.

The Honest Bit

I need to be really straight with you here.

This course is not about promising you a VBAC. Nobody can do that, and anyone who tells you they can is lying to you.

What this course does is make sure you understand your options well enough to make decisions that genuinely feel like yours. So that whatever happens, however your birth unfolds, you are at the centre of it. Informed, grounded, and in control.

Even if your path changes along the way, you will have everything you need.

You can hold a plan and respond to what unfolds. Those two things are not in conflict.

This course is for you if…

  • You already know you want a VBAC and you are ready to actually prepare for it
  • You are tired of short appointments and risk-focused conversations that leave you with more questions than answers
  • You want to understand the evidence well enough to advocate for yourself
  • You want to feel informed, confident, and in control of your birth experience
  • You are done scouring Google at 2am and want a proper space to get your questions answered

This course is probably not for you

  • If you are looking for someone to tell you everything will be fine and just “trust your body” without context
  • If you want to passively absorb information without bringing it into your preparation
  • If you are hoping for a guarantee
  • If you prefer a mindset-only or manifestation-based approach to birth

Meet April

Hello, I’m April.

I was the one at 2am Googling for answers that did not leave me feeling like a statistic to be managed.

After my first two births ended in caesareans, I had to work incredibly hard to find the research, unlearn the fear, and learn how to trust my instincts again. In 2016 I had a water birth VBAC with no interventions.

It was not luck. It was knowing my rights, finding the right support, and opting out of consultant led care.

I have been a doula and antenatal teacher for over a decade. I train other birth workers in VBAC specialism, I host The VBAC Hub Podcast, and I built The VBAC Hub to become the UK’s leading ecosystem of VBAC support.

I started this work because I want that same “I did this” feeling to be accessible to everyone, not just the few with the time, energy, or ability to hunt down the evidence themselves.

I am nerdy, honest, and fully in your corner.
